Fireman Sam Electronic Pontypandy Fire Station Review

Zachary was delighted when the Fireman Sam Electronic Pontypandy Fire Station from Character Online arrived for review and couldn't wait to get it out of the box. The fire station is a replica of the brand new one that made it's first appearance in 2015 to replace the station that burnt down so will be instantly recognisable to little Fireman Sam fans.

The Fireman Sam Electronic Pontypandy Fire Station has many features little people will love including a working lift and fireman's pole, double doors that open up, a turn table, and even a vehicle maintenance ramp, as well as an electronic control desk with lights, sounds and phrases. Also included are Fireman Sam and Fireman Elvis figures along with a ladder, bucket, fire extinguisher and first aid dummy to practise life saving skills. There is also a petrol pump for fuelling up a fire engine so lots of scope for imaginative fireman play.

Our Verdict

The Fire Station on the whole is a big hit with the twins and Ben, they had lots of fun setting the fireman off whizzing down the pole and the electronic control desk is great. I like the fact that there are two fireman characters included however the kids were very disappointed to see that Jupiter the Fire engine which is on the box and all the TV adverts is not included in the playset. As a parent I have to admit I found this a little annoying too and wish that there was less emphasis placed on Jupiter in the adverts in particular. Luckily we improvised with a toy fire engine we had and were able to go on lots of rescue missions, it was a good opportunity to teach the kids a little about first aid and discuss what the dummy is used for.
