Today, 12th May 2012 is Madeleine McCann's 9th birthday. She is now missing for five years since disappearing on the evening of Thursday, 3rd May 2007 whilst on holiday in Praia da Luz, Portugal with her parents and twin siblings. I cannot begin to imagine how horrible it must be for her family not knowing where she is and what has happened to her, it really must be a parent's worst nightmare.
There have been many unconfirmed sightings of Madeleine in Portugal and elsewhere since she went missing but unfortunately her whereabouts are still a mystery. Heartbreaking. Absolutely heartbreaking. I hope that one day soon they are going to find her.
I honestly believe Madeleine is still alive. We need to keep this tragic abduction as alive in the world media as it is for Kate and Gerry.
