This weeks theme for The Gallery is Landscapes. When I looked through my photographs I found I had lots of picturesque landscapes taken in beautiful warm sunny destinations that I had forgotten about and while I did consider using them this week, for some reason I wanted to stay close to home and show you two from the city I live in, London.
I took this first one last December when we were leaving the Christmas Market at the Southbank. I loved the view across the river and how the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben were silhouetted against the sky so I just had to capture it despite the crowd of people about getting in the way.
The second was a quick picture I snapped out the window of the tube as we were passing through Chiswick on our way home from a lovely day spent in and around Covent Garden last Saturday. The sky looked truly amazing with it's beautiful vibrant colours.
So there you have it two "landscapes" of a kind which capture my city, I hope you like them.
