Little Charley Bear Ready, Teddy, Go! DVD review

Ben was one very happy little boy when the post arrived yesterday and I handed him an envelope to open as inside it he found the Little Charley Bear Ready, Teddy, Go! DVD. His reaction was so funny, he immediately exclaimed "Hurray Charley Bear!", handed me the DVD and remote and ran and got his Little Charley Bear teddy and settled himself on the sofa expectantly. So of course I had to put it on there and then for my eager little boy and his best friend.

There were lots of excited squeals and clapping as Ben watched Charley Bear set off on his adventures which included travelling to the moon in his rocketship, racing cars against Nibblet and Caramel in the Little Charley Bear Super Car race, an adventure which sees Charley with a cool new pair of shoes with lights in the soles, a story where Midge and Charley become string puppets and an episode entitled Scarecrow Charley which I must say Ben laughed lots at. There are also three Bonus Features with a bonus episode called Charley Bear Sock Detective that both Ben and I really enjoyed, Make and Do where you learn how to make a butterfly mobile which we will definitely be trying and Activity Time.

Ben's favourite episode was most definitely the rocketship adventure Ready, Teddy, Go where Little Charley Bear meets a friendly alien who wants to play moon ball, we had to later recreate this with Ben's rocketship, Charley teddy and a ball and had lots of fun doing so! I have always loved how watching Little Charley Bear who is a regular on cBeebies, transfers over into make believe playtime. It is a great programme as it really "gets" young children and how their imagination works and in turn how they play. I also have to say I think James Corden is fantastic as the voice of Charley Bear and does a great job in making him come to life.

The Little Charley Bear Ready, Teddy, Go! DVD will be released on the 10th October and is available to pre-order at various retailers including Amazon priced at around £7.99.

*Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post. I received the Little Charley Bear Ready, Teddy, Go! DVD in exchange for a review but this has in no way biased my opinion - Ben loves the DVD and I get the feeling we will be watching it over and over again!
