Ben the iPhone addict

We have a problem. Ben's favourite toy and my favourite toy appear to be one and the same - my iPhone.

The only time I get to use it these days is when he is asleep. In fact I have started to notice it is the first thing he reaches for when he wakes up. Once he gets his hands on it he is off, jumping on the sofa, over to the speaker dock where he proceeds to slot it in, unlock it, open the iPod and press play in record time. He usually has a little dance then as proud as can be with himself.

I know it's very cute and very clever and ultimately my fault because I taught him how to use it but oh how I miss using my iPhone without having it whipped off me. The only good thing is he does appear to be developing a great taste in music...

Review of CBeebies Song Time CD

I was delighted when asked to review CBeebies Song Time as it combines two things Ben enjoys - music and his favourite TV shows. Song Time is a 2CD album which has 50 tracks from CBeebies shows.

Ben absolutely loved it and danced along to all his favourite songs in particular ZingZillas, Timmy Time, Numberjacks, 3rd and Bird and Chugginton. What I liked about it was Ben's reaction to the songs he recognised. When Ben hears music he likes his hands start going like he is conducting an orchestra and he dances - this happened lots when I played the CDs so they definitely got his approval! It was also great to play while in the car as it kept Ben entertained while he bopped along in the backseat. The only downside is I found I had the Timmy Time and 3rd & Bird themes stuck in my head and kept humming them - they are some seriously catchy tunes!

I would definitely recommend Song Time to anyone who has kids that watch CBeebies, if they are anything like Ben they will love it!

The CBeebies Song Time Album is available to buy now from various retailers including Amazon and Play.com for around £8.95 and is sure to make a great stocking filler!

First Words

Ben is so funny these days. He has started chatting lots and for some reason all his favourite words start with the letter B. We have banana, ball, balloon, bird but his favourite word is bath.
At least once a day he goes on a mission to the bathroom and stands at the side of the bath saying 'bath, bath bath!' over and over chucking his ducks in while saying 'quack'. When he sees me he opens the box where his bubble bath is and hands it to me. As you have probably guessed by now he loves the bath!

Ben, Coco and a grape

It really does amuse me to watch Ben and Coco play together.  Ben likes to share his food usually with Coco however not this time...

Ha Ha I know Coco really wants one of these grapes but...

...I think I might tease her for awhile :)

This really is so much fun!

Ooops sorry Coco I couldn't stop myself eating it - it was yummy!
